Charlie's Chicken - Joplin

I had a wonderful dining experience with delicious food at reasonable prices, along with some great promotions. During my visit, they had a half-price offer on cold chicken, so I ended up ordering two. The staff were very helpful in assisting us with our selections, and the service was attentive and friendly. I will definitely return!

If you love food, you should definitely give it a try—Charlie is fantastic! If someone doesn't give it a shot, they might regret it later. I recently tried the chicken fried chicken with gravy, and it was delicious. They offer the hunch of fried chicken with gravy and a side for around $6, or just the hunch on its own for $4. Regardless of what you order, I can guarantee it will be great. The meat is always excellent!

For many years, when I worked in this part of the city, I would frequently have lunch here. The food was consistently excellent. It's as close to home-cooked meals as you can get these days. I try to visit every couple of months when I'm in the area. However, my last experience left me feeling disappointed. They seemed to have cut corners, as we were missing our rolls, cutlery, and one of the side dishes, despite spending around $80 on chicken and sides. It’s not a major incident, but it serves as a reminder to always check your order before driving 15 miles home. That said, there really isn’t another place in Joplin that can rival their fried chicken. One of my favorite features is that they offer gizzards, which I absolutely love. My only complaint is that they should sell a whole bucket of gizzards just for me! The potato wedges are also tasty—everything is quite good. I just don’t know of another place nearby where you can find this kind of quality, unless you’re willing to drive to Pittsburgh. As long as they keep the gizzards on the menu, I’ll definitely be back!

Well as usual the chicken was good always is. But in the dining room there was no condiments for anything no butter for my rolls know salt and pepper nothing it's always such a young untrained staff there. Some of the side dishes can be questionable about the freshness which you can actually see with your eyes when you go there but like I said the chickens always good so I would suggest going but just don't get the gravy or too much of it it made my friend ill.
