Bidrage med feedbackHowever, the food was just okay, which was disappointing given my anticipation for Ben Yay's. I plan to give it another try once they roll out the full menu, hoping it will improve. I ordered the fried oyster deviled eggs, but the oysters were simply breaded and fried—nothing exceptional to say about that. The deviled egg filling consisted mainly of yolk, lacking flavor, with just a sprinkle of what I assume was paprika that didn’t enhance the taste. The eggs themselves were mediocre, tasting as though they were pre-packaged hard-boiled eggs from a gas station. I really hoped this dish would shine, but it fell flat. The sausage po' boy was overly salty, and while the fries were well-seasoned, the sandwich was just too much in that regard. Overall, it was passable but not remarkable. The drinks were enjoyable, and it was clear they didn’t skimp on the alcohol, which was a plus. Given the food didn’t particularly wow me, I probably won’t return. However, the restaurant does have two unisex bathrooms and is situated on Main Street, where you can enjoy a quiet stroll after dinner. There are also other dining options available along Main Street.
The food was fantastic! I ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp, Red Beans and Rice, along with a Lost 40 Rockhound IPA. The service was also excellent. Plus, there was live music! What’s not to love? Food: 5/5
I visited this restaurant a few months back and had an amazing experience with their taco salad and Santa Fe egg rolls. However, I recently had the worst taco salad I've ever encountered, worth $13. In total, I spent $35 on terrible food. There were no Santa Fe egg rolls, no salsa, and the meat was bland. The salad had only about 10 pieces of corn and 15 corn chips. They've definitely lost a customer, and I'll be sure to share my experience with others!
1st time in and probably the last time in. Went in for brunch. The menu was full of great ideas, but what actually came to the table fell way short of the best of intentions.I had steak eggs Benedict, which consists of chopped steak marinated in something with Worcester Sauce on top of Texas Toast and hasbrowns with poached eggs on top.To begin with, the food arrived cold. LIKE REALLY COLD. An egg boiled in water without the shell does not a poached egg make. There is a method and there are those that can and should do this and those that can't and should not. Stop it. The steak marinade wasn't for me. The side of fried potatoes was supposed to be seasoned but barely had salt. The waiter was absent most of the time preffering to spend his time yucking it up with the kitchen staff( I assume they could have been laughing about the fact that I continued to eat my food regardless of how cold it was) instead of refilling our drinks or getting us a check. I refilled my own glass twice and finally got up to leave before I was offered a check to pay.Swing and a miss guys. Fix your problems for the next guy because I won't be back.
Sat inside for 30 minutes and no one ever spoke to me or my 7 year old son. All we wanted was a chili dog for him, and he just sat there waiting while his dad tried to get someone to take/fill an order. I've never been impressed by this place before now, however, I try to patron small/local restaurants when I do go out, and I just feel gross about the way we were treated. Won't be back, not that they wanted us anyways.
