Bidrage med feedbackI think this would be a wonderful place for a couple of secretaries to go have a glass of wine and a light meal after work. Me, i eat too much for this to be good. Perhaps this why I was the only guy in the place? The food was good, but after an appetizer and entree I was still pretty hungry. The Beaujolais was $14 a glass and had brett (a barnyard taste not uncommon in cheaper French wines). I thought about ordering another entree but the prices were such that I decided to go somewhere else in town and finish my meal there. The restaurant is not open very often and the owner said this was due to another project she had going. Perhaps this is why the food and wine maybe was a bit neglected. I'm not likely to return to this one.
We were driving thru the area and decided to stop in Joliette. After walking around the city we decided to have dinner at Terre a Tabac on the patio on a beautiful summer night! We were greeted with very friendly, knowledgeable staff including one of the owners. The Charcuterie and the Steak Tartar was amazing...We will definitely return the next time we are visiting!
If you enjoy cigars and martinis, this is the perfect spot for you.
This was my first visit to this restaurant, and it was fantastic! Situated on Crescent St. in Montreal, it is located on the second floor of a corner building.
There have been no changes since my last review. Stogies is still my favorite spot for enjoying a cigar and scotch. I do have a helpful tip for you though.
