Keefer Court Bakery Desserts

This is a professional bakery but the food tastes more like home made. The buns have been dry on both my trips and I won't be going back. The buns are closer to a cheap hamburger bun with cream in the middle Don't be fooled, these are not what Asian baked goods are supposed to be.This place doesn't have 4+ stars. Sort by recent first and you'll see. They changed the location of the prior place which previously had good reviews. The recent reviews are all very consistent with things being old, stale, and not good flavor.

I picked up some steamed pork buns today. They are not what they used to be. The recipe has changed. The bun portion did not taste like the OG Chinese pork bun in Minneapolis. It resembles Vietnamese style bread. The pork filling is too light tasting with less pork then Chinese pork buns. Either the cooks are figuring out how to cook like the original owners did or they changed the recipe. I will change my review if they cook a traditional Chinese steamed pork bun.

The OG was one of my favorite bakeries during college, so I was really disappointed with the portion size of the filling in this red bean pineapple topping bun…. The curry buns and BBQ pork buns are good, but the quality of the breads (dry and need a saucy filling to keep moist) seems to be worse. The service and atmosphere were great though!Some improvement can be done with the filling portions…

Try the steamed pork buns! (Totally forgot to take a picture of it and it was all gone before I realized I forgot ? Honestly try anything! It was all so good. It’s really hard to find traditional buns in the twin cities, so I am happy I found a place that offer it. Great job Keefer Court!

The pastries here are okay. The only thing I would say here is that I’m just disappointed at the owner! The employees would watch at me and my family as if we were going to steal and it got to the point where the owner is standing next to my daughter, he didn’t even greet. We didn’t feel welcome here but still buy their pastries anyways since it’s all over TikTok! This will be my first and last time here. Please spread the words or else you will end up like me. Thanks to the OWNER, I won’t be BACK!
