Jersey Mike's Subs - Johnstown

A few days ago, we decided to stop at Jersey Mike's since we were in the area and needed a meal. I had never been to Jersey Mike's before, and it had been several years since my spouse last visited. I found the ordering process quite confusing. Each sub came with a list of ingredients, but when I mentioned that I didn't want some of them, I got strange looks and was asked what I did want. In the end, I settled for just mayo and tomato because I thought the only toppings available were those displayed on the counter. It turns out that there are more options in drawers, but if you’re unfamiliar with how the place works, you wouldn’t know, as there’s no clear list of choices and some options aren’t readily visible. The food was decent. My spouse enjoyed his more than I did because he managed to figure out the toppings system better than I did.

The staff was not particularly friendly during my visit. We had placed an online order set for 8:03, and arrived right on time, but when we received our sandwich and bowl, they were drenched in vinegar and oil. The bread was so soggy it was falling apart, and there was a pool of oil on the paper after picking up the sandwich. The bowl was filled with vinegar to about a third of its capacity. Both items were completely ruined and unappetizing due to the excessive amount of oil and vinegar, even though we had only requested the regular amount.

It seems that "open until 9" really means that once they start cleaning the grill, they're no longer able to make you a sandwich. They don't seem to be accommodating if you come in later, making it clear that they want to wrap things up well before closing. I love the franchise, but I won't be returning to this location.

We stopped in here to grab a quick bite. Their sandwiches are delicious. I didn’t see it listed but the hubby and I got the Buffalo chicken and it was amazing! They could use some more seating and some light in the place but overall great experience.

It was okay service was well but The subs weren’t the best. My whole sandwich tasted like onions and I didn’t have any onion on my sandwich. I didn’t end up enjoying it and had to toss it in the trash.
