De Rice - Johnston

Lunch was awesome so we decided to try dinner. Tons of Asian fusion choices with a menu several pages long. The taste and quality were spot on and the price was right!

I ordered through Doordash, I liked their Mango Delight Chicken dish. Huge portion delicious. I also tried their Fried Spring rolls, Chicken Satay, Grilled Beef Teriyaki, Honey Glazed BBQ Pork and Massaman Pork Curry- they were all good, nothing special just good. Not memorable except for that one dish. I?d probably try other dishes next time because I think their portions are worth the price the ask.

Very detailed interior, polite waitstaff. Delicious calamari w/ basil and spicy mayo. I also had roasted duck on a bed of rice, with honey sauce for dipping. Very simple, but also feels decadent due to the choice of meat.

Best sushi I've had in Des Moines so far. Also, excellent Tom Yum soup. Don't judge a book by its cover--an average looking restaurant from the exterior but well-decorated interior with a friendly staff, large menu, and dynamite sushi. There is a kids menu available. Party of six with various levels of spice. I choose 'hot ' with the Roasted Duck Curry. It had great flavor without the burn. Another ordered an Iowa Hot. After seeing wo people share it, I saw that it was also not to extreme. I had pineapple, which I thought was potato. That was a surprise, but it paired well with duck and yellow curry.
