Great job McDonald’s of Johns Island!! Couldn’t order via the app as the system was down. But I went thru the line and ordered. First window was closed so I go to the second window where I handed a $100 bill to the cashier. Then she gave me some change and some bills immediately following with a drink and a bag of food. I sat everything in the seat and counted my change. I was shorted… a lot. So I told the same cashier that I had given her a $100 dollar bill. She acted weird and said “oh ya” and grabbed two $20 bills off the counter and closed the window. So I pulled up, parked and there was no receipt in the bag so I again added up my food and the change and it was still off. Then I drove around to the window again and the same cashier was there and I explained to her that the food was not almost $20 worth. (It was a #1 and a pie. . Now the cashier produced my receipt. I informed her my change was not correct and counted it in front of her and another female. As she approached the window and I asked her if she was the manager. She replied yes! Great I said, I told her the young lady shorted me almost $50! Then hysteria consumed the cashier saying she didn’t need my money!! As I counted the change again, the cashier asked if there was a $5 bill in my change. I said no…then she turned around and a $5 bill was provided. To top matters off, the ‘manager’ said that she doesn’t steal from customers. I asked why then when you hand someone a $100 bill, they mark cash tendered $50!!???? Her response was perfect, she said we don’t steal here and slammed the window shut! Great customer service. Definitely manager material right there. The customer is always wrong!! And they want $20+ an hour….
My partner and I placed mobile orders. We walked in with smiling faces and the woman at the counter literally glared at me like she wanted to spit in my face! I smiled and said good morning! And walked over to check the name on the bag sitting in the mobile order counter. She yelled gruffly, That 's not your food! That 's his food! (Gesturing to a man in the restaurant. You have to order over here! I said nicely, Oh, sorry, we also placed mobile orders. And she said Ain 't no mobile orders here! Then a nice man in the kitchen popped his head out and said, I got it right here . We got our hashbrowns and continued to patiently wait for our other food. The nasty attitude woman yelled to the kitchen, Did you get the hashbrowns? Trying to be helpful I said, Yep, I got em right here. She literally looked like she wanted to rip my face off and threateningly yelled, NOT yours! She then held a death glare with me while I tried to avoid eye contact until the nice fella gave us our other food. I have never been looked at like that in my life and there was literally zero reason for it. This woman should not be working with people.
I know conditions change rapidly, but when I visited the front and the bathroom was very clean. But, the ordering kiosks were not working. It was a slower time of day and they had one person at cash register who was also handing out food. Wait time was very reasonable. Burger was not hot by any means.
Only wanted 2 cups of water and sat there for 30-45 min just waiting on the guy at the speaker box, only 2 cars in line????
