Thyme On Nicol - Johannesburg

I used to love this place, but my latest visit (after not having been here in a while) was really disappointing. Food was average at best, portions were small for price charged, and coffee was bland. But the worst part of my experience was the slow service. Over an hour's wait for a croissant, a toasted sandwich and coffee. Sadly, I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. Avoid unless you're not very hungry and have tonnes of time to wait. The only redeeming quality is the beautiful view from the outdoor dining area.

We found that Thyme On Nicol offer a delicious selection of vegetarian options that look and taste amazing. My husband and I visited them for a quick bite to eat and we were treated very well. Lovely atmosphere. It gets quite busy, which resulted the service to be slightly on the slow side. Nevertheless, we will definitely be back again. It's location is quite central and very conveniently situated for some shopping afterwards.

Lovely food and good service. I am so impressed . I was there the time they first opened and many times after that. I went back after 2 years with a freind. The place and service was the same when they opened. My freind was so impressed! Please keep it up. Thank you!

The food was very good! A bit pricey considering it’s not a standalone restaurant but the sushi was spectacular and so was the service! The restaurant was quite cute and lovely to spend some time in.
