Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant was empty, with no other customers present. Our drinks were forgotten, the service was poor, the food was overly salty, and the prices were too high. I would not recommend this restaurant.
I placed a phone order for pick up with no issues. The food was what you would expect from a Western Chinese restaurant. The Chicken Satay was quite spicy, so if you're not a fan of heat, I wouldn't recommend it. The Spring Rolls were not very appetizing. The Special Fried Rice lacked flavor and was a bit dry, but it did have generous chunks of pork. The Honey Chicken didn't have much sauce, which disappointed my son. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't a meal that I would eagerly return for.
Typical Chinese place of old school. Cheap, decent portions, ok service, easy tatty looking for the strange slightly dead smell you get from an old place.
Having lived in the Jindabyne region all my life, I was surprised to discover Chong Yees. A friend invited me to lunch at Chong Yees, and I almost missed it! Located in the old town, the exterior doesn't do it justice. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. As a self-proclaimed Chinese food expert, I can confidently say that Chong Yees ranks among the best restaurants in the area. The Mongolic lamb, honey prawns, satay beef, laksa, and large fried rice were all outstanding. If more people knew about this hidden gem, I'm sure it would be fully booked in advance. With excellent service and delicious food, I highly recommend Chong Yees.
Very low quality food..suggest to avoid OR only try 1 or 2 items to taste the food before making a large order....................don't ever order from Thai section of the menu...you will be very disappointed.
