Charcoal House Tavern - Jerseyville

Ordered parmesan wings. They were undercooked and had no garlic flavor at all. That being said, I am getting over a cold so maybe its my taste buds that are off. I will try them again sometime. Hubby had burger special and said it was good. French fries also under cooked, not lightly brown at all. Waitress was unsmiling and unfriendly. She did not make us feel welcome whatsoever. Not the best experience we've had here.

This is my second time eating at the charcoal house. I was hoping for something better but I guess in Jerseyville though you don't get much. I was going to give it two stars but I'm feeling generous and I gave it three.

Place was very busy. We got great food service was good with the amount of people there.

Have tried multiple items here. The burger is amazing and tried the pony shoe it was good and always quick. Will return for sure.

Ordered food through doordash. Pork tenderloin sandwich is absolutely delicious!
