Taqueria Mi Mariachi - Jersey City

Food was ok, however they did not advise when ordering on the phone that they were cash only. i asked if my tacos could be made fresh when I leave to get cash, as it's a 30 min commute, and they told me no. I ordered again 3 full hours later, and when I came to pick them up, they tried to give me the order that had sat on the counter for 3 hours. they were all pretty upset that I ordered a second time for fresh tacos and tried to force me to take the 3 hour old ones instead. Will never be returning, as the tacos were only ok anyway.

One of the best authentic Mexican Restaurants in Jersey City The food here is always great, the amount of food you get for the price is outstanding. I mean Tacos, Tostada, Sopes, Burritos, everything taste great. I've been having their Birria Tacos on my last two visits, and they've been delicious. They offer take out and pickup if you call ahead of time. I suggest you try Tostadas de Tinga, al pastor Birria Tacos Tacos al Pastor Bistec de Palomilla with rice, beans, avocado You'll thank me. They also offer delivery, staff is always friendly.

I came across this while looking for Mexican food. I feel so lucky to find this place. It was served more food than I thought and the food was really fresh and delicious. I want to try all kinds of tacos here.

Food here is amazing!! After going to Mexico two times and tasting the authentic food there, this place got it! Food is always made fresh to order. The sauces are good too!! Went here several times the last 3 years because I had attended Rutgers IWP (Intensive Weekend Program) for my MSW. My cohort and I went here almost every month we had class lol always was soo good!!! Only thing it's a small restaurant so it's crowded and we always called our food in because it gets super busy around lunch time.

I'm not sure why I have given this place as many chances as I have. Friends keep telling me how good it is. Besides the food just being ok, the orders are consistently are wrong. The food is bland and sometimes tastes like it has been sitting around for far too long (like tonight). Even asking for them to read back your order, and you agree to what was read back, it will still be wrong again just like tonight. I won't be going back, too many chances and there are other local businesses I'll spend my money with.
