Food was cheap, service was quick and all was good! Definitely good if you need Chinese food on a budget! Needs to be noticed
Wonderful new spot. Amazing food, hands down on my too two. Very fresh and not overly heavy. We tried a couple of different options and were not disappointed. The families new favorite take out.
This place reminds me of home! We hail from Iloilo, a smaller region in the Philippines. Soup is easily a staple of the Philippines and La Paz Batchoy has to be my favorite. For those who don't know, Batchoy is a pork based Illonggo soup with egg noodles with crunchy delicious pork cracklings (chicharron served on top. I love my batchoy with extra chicharron and fried garlic on top. The umami and hearty deliciousness make batchoy the best to eat on a cold, winter day which is funny because the average temperatures in the Philippines are above 90 degrees all the time, right?! It's best served with their Puto (not a bad word to Filipinos , but a delicious plain rice cake that pairs well with both batchoy AND dinuguan. They serve various desserts on weekends? B Among batchoy are other Filipino favorites, such as pork sisig, chopped up pork with onions and a lemony zest on top to counteract any fat. (Another one of my favorite foods! If you're daring, try dinuguan filipino pork blood made with pork belly which is a dimension of flavors you will have never tried again as a picky eater, I love it. Their pancit molo is a variation of a Chinese wonton soup, except we put fried garlic in it! This place also serves Chinese food, which covers all the homey favorites in one place! I've eaten here in person once, and the owners were welcoming and nice enough to make me feel as if I were back in my small hometown in the Philippines. As a fellow Illonggo, I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to experience a wider variety of Filipino foods. Seating is limited, but takeout is just as good.
Overall the food was good, portion sizes were generous, and service was fast and friendly. Excellent prices! Egg rolls $1.50, 10 fried port wontons $4.00 are a great bargain. The fried wontons came with a large container of hot temperature) sweet/sour sauce. Since the wontons were piping hot from the fryer, I probably would have preferred that the sauce not be heated. This is mostly a to go spot. There is a small ledge but no tables) along the window to eat there if you choose. Also, I didn't get a fortune cookie : . Will definitely return.
