This encouraged us to visit again today to celebrate an occasion rather than choosing one of the better dining options available. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. While our server remained polite, the delays were unacceptable and only contributed to our growing frustration. Our drinks took 10 minutes, the appetizer took 30, and we had to chase down staff for updates on our food over an hour later. We were told that our steak took so long because we requested it well done, but even during peak hours at better restaurants, this kind of delay is unheard of. We nearly canceled our order but ultimately chose to wait instead. As we waited, we encountered even more delays and frustrations while trying to collect our order, and none of the available servers were willing to assist us at that point. To make matters worse, the steaks we received were not well done but rather ***raw.*** Unless the oven was malfunctioning, there’s no way it should take an hour and a half to cook a steak to such a sorry state. The evidence suggests our order was ignored until the last 10 minutes or perhaps the kitchen staff simply isn’t competent. The kitchen area appeared chaotic, with staff coming in and out without focus on their tasks. This experience has tainted our perception of this Chili's and the entire chain. We will never return to this location, and even worse, we feel disillusioned about visiting any Chili's again. We owe an apology to our friends for recommending this restaurant chain, which seems uninterested in training a dedicated staff or ensuring long-time customers leave satisfied. Perhaps they can get their act together and satisfy the next wave of customers, but they have certainly lost our support. That’s all.
