Deschutes Brewery Portland Public House

I come here for the food. I don't even drink beer. Amazing spot for a group of friends or a date night. Fun atmosphere and great food. Seriously.

Stopped for lunch. Enjoyed the smoked chicken sandwich with Jalapeno pesto and red pepper tomato bisque. My lunch buddy had the Pub burger with red pepper tomato bisque. Both were on homemade buns. All was delicious. Service was great.

I got a couple of tap IPA's and the chicken and waffle. I have to say I am a touch spoiled when it comes to chicken and waffles having lived walking distance to Lo Lo's in Phoenix for several years. This one didn't disappoint. The chicken was tender and juicy. The waffle had nice flavor and texture.

We had a good lunch at Deschutes. My wife got the burger and I had the soup and bread. It is a cool space and well run. They have a huge beer selection because it is a brew pub and you can get beer flights too.

I have always had great experiences and wonderful interactions with the staff.
