Owner is a really cool dude, food was excellent, beer is cheap.

Great food, generous helping and lovely spot all around.

Soul food sans soul. Too many peppercorns in my (subpar) food, unhelpful server, unlikeable atmosphere, pricey. Sadly, the old fashioned special was gritty and pre-made. Would not order a cocktail.

Smaller dishes, but priced fairly. Expect some flavor, the dishes can be very spicy. I don't know if they simmer the herbs down quite a bit, or what, but it sure packs a punch. If you've got an adventurous palate, this place is for you!
