Bidrage med feedbackThis food was so good that it ruined my life. Game over. I can’t leave now ?. But seriously, eat here. I got the lemon grass chicken and it was amazing. My mate had the vegan pork and loved it (photo). Vietnamese iced coffee say no more. 11/10
Without question the finest banh mi on the West Coast. The thai cole slaw that comes with each banh mi could easily be plated in a 3 star restaurant. The vegetable style--carrots cut into thick rods--is also amazing among other details like the paper thin hot green peppers. And then the secret twist: pork pate that slightly wets the traditionally dry baguette. Everything is ultra fresh. The sprigs of cilantro taste like you're literally eating them while they grow. A masterpiece for $11.00. If you thought Portland's cheap eats and food cart scene was going stale, it's just been refreshed.
Food is SOOOO GOOD. Such a great meal for staying in and needing some quality comfort food
I ordered the Braised Tofu Vermicelli Bowl, which is sweet braised tofu, vermicelli rice noodles, lettuce, fresh herbs, cucumber, bean sprouts, pickled carrot and daikon, and jalapeños (which I omitted), topped with crushed cashews and crispy shallots. Despite the name, the included egg roll is vegan and filled with mung bean and taro. Overall, the meal was good, but nothing special. Note: There is no seating other than one small bench.
Really good vegan options. Wish they had a vegan garlic noodle too, I suspect it would be if the Parmesan was skipped but I’m never sure. Still, both their vegan belly and tofu in bahn mi, vermicelli or rice are very tasty. Great Brad on the bahn mi as well, crunchy outside, but soft enough to bite through without squashing the insides.
