The breakfast buffet was amazing. Great choice, good quality and many healthy options. A great underwear to start the day.

Not very busy when I went what kind, personalized service meant. the dishes that I had chosen were excellent tomato soup, which was lovely light and tender, which tasted completely boneless and really good for a sweetwater fish. weeping small, but I found what I did.

The service was fantastic, the right degree of kindness. Food good, but not excellent, but obviously very reliable. Many locals obviously go for a special meal, so perhaps the best in Jena. I would probably be better than average, but not excellent. But... this is the former GDR with limited options in most, but not all, cities

The restaurant is definitely worth a visit, but note the service staff who cannot meet the standards of this promising local and Pricy menu (more). Therefore only 3 points... The whole hotel, including the restaurant, was renovated in 2012 and...takes completely different. The new European-Arab style is unique in the city. So we tried the restaurant for a special occasion for dinner. The reservation was friendly and we were told that a group was expected around the time we booked. When we arrived, the waiter did not greet us at all. Only a boring episode came out of his mouth. No, please, you are welcome, a smile or what you think is appropriate. We also thought it would be appropriate to explain something about the concept of the restaurant or about the specialties. Unfortunately, nothing. In addition, when we waited for our food / beverage service staff, loudly speaking and laughing when they set up the other part of the restaurant. The menu looks promising and of course you will find first-class starters, nets, desserts and drinks. The cardamom aperitif tastes really good and should be promoted by the staff and not only by the menu!!! The appetizers (sparagus soup, cream soup with chili) were really good. They serve bread, but no butter. You will find out the reason very soon: The small dish is not a normal dish for bread. They pour in oil and immerse the bread. Although this could be typical in Arab countries, the staff should explain it. First, to guide customers who are probably not familiar with this type of kitchen and secondly they could create a real experience. So we had to ask. At least they told us they would bring butter on request. What a surprise: Between our appetizers and main dishes we have a mini soup in a tea glass with the note that the net come very soon. That's really nice. On the other hand, one might think that they outweigh a mistake in the kitchen. The main dishes (catfish and asparagus with veal) were very good, tasty and filling. Our choice of wine fits the food pretty well. The desserts (ice cream, chocolate mousse) looked really good and tasted very good. At the end we tried the cardamom coffee, which is a beautiful finish. The food is really, really good and exceptional for the city that is not known that this culinary. You can compare it with the restaurant Scala on the Intershop Tower. But: The service does not meet the high standards of the kitchen. We can't blame the trainee who did the best. My napkin had two holes. The welcome drink glass has not been properly cleaned. And in my wine glass there were large pieces of dust you could see with your eyes. All three things didn't work too much on the experience, so I didn't say anything. But these things must be perfect for the prices you pay! The waiter who showed us our table was not right on other tables. That's why: The service needs an upgrade. A natural greeting and smile should be standard. An explanation of the European-Arab approach could make a difference. Make it exciting, bring some dynamics. If I want a normal/standard/boring evening, I could go somewhere else. The kitchen has put such an effort in the menu and the service ruins it. If it doesn't change, I can go 150m further to eat traditional Thuringian food for 50% less and a similar service. I'll be sure to buy money there. Again, the service is the only reason why the restaurant gets 3 points. But it deserves 5!
