We've been getting ice cream for two years. In the summer months, sometimes several times a week, usually to take away. The varieties of hazelnuts, chocolate, snickers and strawberry are particularly delicious. Unfortunately, there are more special varieties not always. Usually there is a new variety every few weeks, so it never gets boring. The balls are huge, per ice cup there are 4 balls neat cream, sauce etc. That's more than enough. The balls for taking away are also huge. There are them in the cup and in the waffle. Staff are very friendly and fast. No one will forget. The selection of ice cups, ice drinks, coffee etc. is also very large and leaves nothing to be desired. There are even small snacks like Panini or Toasts. The coffee specialities are typical Italian very tasty. There are also cakes, fruit plates, cocktails, soft drinks, waffles and crêpes. We love the waffles, especially strawberry/banana with nutella sauce, ice cream and cream. Here the portions are also large and really sufficient. Everyone is happy and tired here. The prices are really cheap, but the quality is still top. This also shows the long snakes in front of the ice counter, especially in summer. Ideally, the location is central to the wood market. You can sit very nicely outside and watch the drive, there is plenty of space. The guest room is clean and cozy, also the toilets are clean and modern equipped. The only criticism: I personally lack varieties such as Baccio, Malaga etc. In addition, varieties such as After Eight are very artificial, which one already recognizes in the toxic green color. On the other hand, the other types of ice do not suggest any additives. We always like to come here and find that there is the best ice in Jena, at least in terms of downtown. We cannot judge outside.
