Los Ojos Saloon - Jemez Springs

This small bar restaurant is an excellent place to stop. The rustic atmosphere with the old wall mounts and art is truly old west.

Prepare to shell out $50 for two burgers, which feels a bit excessive considering their small size and lackluster flavor. If you're a vegetarian, be aware that there will be extra charges as well.

This once-iconic dive bar in Jemez Springs has sadly fallen into disrepair over the past few years. The neon sign is no longer functioning, and the upstairs patio has been labeled "structurally unsound." Live music has been canceled due to the departure or firing of the manager. We waited over an hour for a single green chili cheeseburger. It's disappointing because this used to be one of our favorite stops when we were on our bikes. I hope the owners can turn things around and invest some money back into this once-great little spot.

The service was very slow, and the food arrived cold—definitely not hot—almost an hour after we placed our order. The restaurant wasn't crowded, as we visited during the week for a late lunch, so I didn’t understand the delay. One of our orders was incorrect, but they adjusted it on the bill and offered us an additional discount, which I appreciated.
