The Shore - JEKYLL ISLAND

The menu was pre-fixe with a choice of salmon or ham. We chose the salmon. The salmon was cold and raw inside and the rest of the food in the plate was cold as well. We told our server and she said that she would speak with the kitchen. She didn’t offer any compensation or substitutions. We paid our full bill and left dissatisfied and hungry.

Place was pampered for Christmas dinner, the menu was limited, but we have a very good shrimp dinner. I think they were somewhat understated, but our waitress, who was also the hostess, was excellent. the value was great and the restaurant is very beautiful.

We spent Christmas Eve at The Shore and had the special holiday dinner. The meal was fabulous and so was the service. Our server, Jackson, was personable, hard working and made the whole experience very enjoyable.

We were looking forward to enjoying some seafood, but didn’t realize that they were only serving a fixed holiday menu. Choices were ham or salmon and they were OK, just not outstanding. Service was very good and we took care of our server accordingly. We will try again on a non holiday menu
