What a delightful little store! I always visit with the intention of stocking up on Kay's chicken salad, but I can't help but browse for more great items. Food: 5/5.

I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think the food is worth the price. The baked spaghetti was nice, but it was essentially just spaghetti with some cheese melted on top. The garlic cheese knots looked suspiciously similar to the pre-packaged ones you can buy at the store, just with a bit of extra spice and cheese. I also ordered a small container of buffalo ranch chicken salad. My mistake was not checking the ingredients first; there were chunks of mold mixed in, which gave it a bitter taste. It turned out to be bleu cheese, and since I'm not a fan of it, the flavor was overpowering. The best thing I had was a tiny sliver of cake, which was very good, but even with the rising cost of eggs, I don’t think it was worth $4. In total, I spent just under $50 for a mediocre meal. I didn’t see any posted prices in the store, and they don’t provide an itemized receipt, so I have no idea if they accidentally charged me for something wrong or if they just take advantage of customers who want to support local businesses.

I always enjoy browsing through all the beautiful items in her store. I visit every week. For the kids, I usually choose the salad or the pimento cheese, or whatever else she might have prepared that week. I truly believe Ms. Kay could make even cardboard taste delicious. She goes above and beyond to ensure that the food is prepared correctly, from the initial cooking to the stocking. Kay is one of the best cooks of our time, always serving with a smile. She is a truly gifted cook.

I live about fifteen miles from Jefferson and this was my first time visiting this store. It is absolutely adorable ya’ll! Such cute decor accessories. Went to pick up some Chicken and Dumplings and Sweet Onion Cornbread. My word, the Chicken and Dumplings were soooo delicious! When I got home I was only going taste them before putting in the fridge to have for my meal tomorrow, well I just could not stop with just a taste! I ate the entire pint! Same with the Cornbread, just a taste, then ate two of them because they were so yummy! I will definitely be going back again!
