While traveling through Louisiana, we came across this restaurant. Our server was incredibly friendly and polite. We ordered a shrimp po'boy and an oyster po'boy. The shrimp po'boy was quite good, but the oyster po'boy was not enjoyable; it tasted, to me, like what I can only describe as breaded boogers. I kindly asked if we could have the oyster po'boy removed from our bill since we only took one bite. The manager, who seemed annoyed, came over and loudly and rudely explained how expensive oysters are right now and refused to take it off the bill just because we didn't like it. We simply accepted this and paid, taking the oyster po'boy with us since we had already paid for it. Unfortunately, there was no sign of the Southern hospitality we expected. I won't be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

I've been on a quest for the best Shrimp Poboy for years. While Central may not be at the top of my list, it still offers a solid and dependable option for a decent poboy. I've visited Central numerous times, and I'll definitely return.

What an outstanding Po-boy especially if you like ‘em wet!That au jus was perfectly salted and black peppered.Thin sliced roast beef that was tender.And that bread. Just enough to keep it together. Don’t try to take it Togo with gravy on it.Get out the napkins !!This place is a must!!
