I wouldn't call it completely authentic Mexican but it also isn't taco bell. Items we had: 1 Nachos (beef/carne asada Not great flavor on the beef Had a not so good tasting nacho cheese sauce, likely canned. Would recommend not to have it as it has a different flavor, the nacho cheese at a movie theater tastes better. So i would say opt out of cheese sauce and ask for extra shredded cheese. Chips were also overcooked The guacamole was not made fresh, it was clearly the store bought kind 2 Rolled Tacos (beef taquitos Decent tasting, beef inside a little on the mushy side. Flavor was ok. The sour cream avocado sauce on top was pretty good. They do come with 5 of them so the value for the portion is very good. 3 Salsas, they give you three. 1 is a smoky tasting red, ok but again seems store bought 2 a creamy red sauce which seems like canned tomatoes and sour cream blended with something to give it a heat flavor, not sure what 3 a green sauce, possibly pre-made store bought None of the salsas are spicy, each taste ok. All in all for fast food and the price it is decent. You won't leave upset but you also won't leave feeling like you have had great Mexican food:
Was my favorite taco spot in El Cajon, But they have moved into a casino I guess.. Not my type of vibe wish you were still in el cajon come back
Surprisingly good. When you're not in the mood to have a fancy dinner and really just need a quick meal, this is a great option located in the food court. Service is prompt and the food is made fresh. It tastes great and is reasonably priced if you have to pay. If you have a comp even better. Just wish they had a salsa bar with all the fixing such as hot carrots and grilled onions. The small things you'd expect to have from a taco shop. When I visited, the tables within the food court were hard to come by... but I was able to enjoy my meal with my wife. I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again. I recommend their TJ style hot dog as well as their Carne Asada chips. Note, they use a combination of nacho cheese and shredded cheese. Interesting but very yummy.
Better food than Jack in the Box tacos...but the slowest service I 've ever seen. They need to take some process improvement lessons from anyplace ending in 'Berto. For a casino hoping to liberate my money from my wallet, they appear in no rush for me to get back to the games.
Poor management every time I go to use my food credit they run out of there delicious roll tacos and there TJ dogs..management should make sure that they are fully stocked to handle the massive food credit customers..
