Good place for enjoying with family Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

For past 3 years, I've made it a point to visit Equinox for a meal whenever in town. The experience, food and the staff have been amazing always. This Christmas eve though was a complete 180° though. We were 4 adults and a 5 year old. Even after reservation we didn't get the table of our choice. We had to be seated in a different table unless we finally got the table we wanted. Coming to food, the starters: 1. Murshidabad er murgi bhaja 2. Malai Kabab 3. Chilli Fish finger Were all good but Fish finger stood out of the rest. The main course recommendation from Mr. Sarat was really the deal breaker. The Matka chicken he recommended had major chunks of liver meat. Something we weren't told in advance and don't prefer having. Besides that the quantity for so darn poor, it seemed as if it was Matka Quail and not chicken. It was priced at INR 925/ per plate. I didn't even look at the price while ordering, trusting Sarat's recommendation. But the meat quantity was not expected at all. I've never had a bad experience with Equinox before this. But this was something unexpected from a restaurant of its stature. Hence a 2 To the staff, I trust you'll make me convert to a 5 the next time I visit! That'd be my last bet on Equinox! Quick tips: Stick to what you've had previously and know is good in taste and quantity Try to avoid festive rush times to have the best experience Don't completely rely on the staffs recommendation

Class. The Sonnet's other restaurant, variety of cuisine with exotic taste so it's expensive. But worth every penny.
