Bidrage med feedbackThis place is packed with everything you need. As someone who is new to the area, I'm trying to get a lay of the land....where will I find my go-to Sourdough Bread? Where can I get a last minute coffee? Are we out of Beer? What spice do we need for that meal....you get the point. This Market/Grocery Store seems to have all of that covered in a small space. I believe they do Pizza Night on Wednesdays....as well.
FIRST: this is not a grocery store. It's barely a market. SECOND: Karen, the owner, lives up to her name. She was extremely rude to me as I attempted to purchase a 4-pack of delicious coneheads. As a 23 year old adult, I expected the transaction to happen smoothly. Karen however had other ideas. She would not sell me my coneheads, as my 22 year old girlfriend (who did not have her ID on her was waiting in the car. Apparently she thought I was providing alcohol to a minor. She claimed she could lose her whole business (which honestly I don't think would be the worst thing in the world. THIRD: this may have been harsh but she made me really angry and almost ruined my ENTIRE vacation. So Karen I'm sorry but you brought this on yourself.
We've had the spicy chicken sandwich on three different occasions and each time the sandwich was both juicy and crunchy. Hard to do I would think. Also, everyone working at the store has been real nice and very helpful. They obviously try to stock the largest variety of items that they can into the tiny store. And they do a great job. Staples and many gourmet items live side by side.
Karen, the owner, really goes out of her way for her customers. This little general store has remarkable variety homemade goods.
Wow, craft beer bliss! This little market is chock full of brew. Lots of tasty treats and yummy food! The lady behind the counter reminds of why I am moving to the land of Bernie, someday.
