Bidrage med feedbackThe best South Indian food we've eaten in India. It is expensive for the locals but not for foreigners. We had 2 appetizers, 2 mains, 2 desserts, and coffee for about €23. A must-visit.
BamBooShoot has it all mixed up in their review; they must have confused the names. Dasaprakash is a chain of South Indian family dining restaurants that are strictly vegetarian, serving traditional Indian dishes that are lacto-vegetarian. They do not serve alcohol but offer a cozy dining experience with attentive waiters. The prices for dishes start at around Rs 90 and all items on the menu are vegetarian (no non-veg options available). I have also visited the Dasaprakash restaurant in Agra and found it to be of the same standard, with a similar menu and tasty food. The South Indian cuisine at Dasaprakash includes delicious vegetarian options such as tomato or onion uttapam, although I found the sambar to be too salty. However, this seems to be a common issue with sambar in the North.
The restaurant primarily offers meat dishes, with vegetarian options starting at 300 Indian Rupees.
Bambooshoot is not deserving of its rating; they must have confused the names. Dasaprakash is a chain of restaurants in the South Indian tradition, serving only vegetarian food - specifically, lacto-vegetarian. They do not serve alcohol, and provide a comfortable dining experience with attentive waitstaff. Prices for dishes start at around Rs 90, and all items on the menu are vegetarian. I also visited the Dasaprakash in Agra, which offered the same menu and dining experience. Overall, the food was quite good, with many strictly vegetarian options available. Some highlights include the vegan tomato and wobble uttapam, though I found the sambar to be too salty. It seems that salty sambar is a common issue in the north, based on previous reviews. This restaurant in Jaipur is known for offering exceptional South Indian cuisine. However, due to Covid restrictions, they currently have a limited menu and are not serving their usual South Indian Thali. Finding a parking spot may also prove to be a bit challenging.
