Prati Italia - Jacksonville

For the price I'd expected the food to be at least good but to be honest the service was good but the food was alway overrated. I really miss Gubbios that used to be on old kings. These expensive restaurants don't have anything on these hole in the way gems. Because it's in the town center we know it's expensive but is the food good? The steamed mussels were fishy, not fresh and clean tasting. The seafood spaghetti was very mid. And the gnocchi was probably the best tasting dish but was also 6/10. Glad they had a choice of a small or large portion. Never again! ??

Service was slow and unattentive. Ordered drinks and waiter said they'd bring water. Water arrived LONG after the appetizer and after the cocktails. Food was decent, short rib was very fatty cut.

Arrived on time to an empty restaurant and still had to wait 15 minutes for our table. Twice as many staff as patrons and service was incredibly slow. Waitress disappeared numerous times so we were unable to get any refills. At one point we were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant. Made eye contact with manager multiple times trying to get our waitress so we could get our check and leave. Really wanted to do dessert for my wife's birthday dinner but 2 hours into it we were ready to go. Food was really good it's a shame service was so terrible. So many staff standing around doing nothing and our waitress MIA. We won't be back to Prati Italia.

Made reservations and the only reservation available was at 4:30 outside we get there and the place is empty and it is empty. The whole time where there is that one other table came in and I may be a few inside while we had to sit outside made no sense to us.

This place has a very nice vibe. We happened to show up on a night with live music. The band added a neo-soul touch to the experience. The cocktails were nice. Our server, Sam, took the time to explain the vegan menu to us. She was pretty awesome. ??
