First time going to this establishment. Not a huge Indian Cuisine fan but a friend recommended it and my wife loves it. We went on a Saturday at about 1230. Place was over half full. The server greeted us, took our drink order and had us seated promptly. We wanted the buffet so we could taste everything. Great selection of entrees on the buffet, also had 2 or 3 soups and a dessert/toppings section. Was very happy with the variety of options. My favorites on the entrees were the fish fry, chicken 65, goat curry and chicken marsala. They had three types or rice and naan, all great. My wife had me taste the onion chutney (never had it), very tasty. Desert we tried a few but the mango moose and gulab jamun were our favorites. There was a young lady who worked there that was very efficient in taking your old plates and keeping your drinks full. Men's bathroom was clean, plenty of soap and paper products, could use a little fresh paint and sprucing up but was clean. Price was good, we will be back.
I get a hankering every few months for Curry and Naan so this time wanted to try a new place I have not been. This mandarin location is closer to my side of town than most of the other Indian restaurants and that works for me. As you enter it has a india traditional vibe with Bright colors and great smell. We ordered Butter Chicken and Chicken Tiki Masala and various Naan. They have several spice levels to choose and we choose mild for our curries which I would probably step up 1 next time just to see the difference. The curry was light and creamy and the chicken was moist. It met my craving. The only con was the service. We felt like a bother than a welcomed visitor. Our appetizer came as we were paying the bill so we had to have them remove it. Just a smile would of been acceptable but sometimes it's that kind of day but we smiled for them.Maybe next time.
Came here for dinner and enjoyed a nice Indian meal. Service was a little slow on a busy Friday night but the food was good.
I love Indian food and my family (and I) love this spot . It is a little hard to find and parking maybe a few steps away, but so worth it. Service is friendly, but a little hurried. Don't worry, stop and make a little conversation and ask questions about the menu and she will slow down. Once we did, the pace slowed and the service got more personal. But you really just care about the food: Butter Naan really good, we'll done (clap, clap). Garlic Naan still good. Paneer Naan my FAVORITE of the naan's. Vegetable Pekora not my favorite because it has a spice kick, but other than that it is good. Butter Chicken very traditional, nothing special but as I said traditional flavors, traditional look. Chicken 65 Biryani there are a number of Biryani choices but my family picked this as the BEST. Saag Paneer I am partial, this is my favorite. Saag Shrimp make saag paneer and pair it with shrimp, yes please. Daddy like. Coconut Curry I feel like I should say it is bad, so my review seems authentic but I liked this dish too. This is fast becoming a family favorite.
