Hot Wok - Jacksonville

My wife and I typically aren't fans of what we refer to as "quickie Chinese food" restaurants, but this place is an exception. While it has the same setup with just a few small tables and a counter for ordering, the food is significantly better. I absolutely love the house fried rice, which actually contains large shrimp. My wife and son are big fans of the beef sticks, so we always make sure to order those as well. While it's still quick service, the quality of the food is far superior to other similar places.

I absolutely love the beef sticks at this place. They are tender with just the right amount of crispiness on the edges. The menu is similar to most fast food Chinese restaurants, but I think it's even better. There’s a small seating area, but honestly, I prefer taking my food to go. Their spring rolls are quite good as well, and they often introduce new specials that are always delicious. I've never had a bad experience here – it's consistently a great deal and the food comes out quickly!

This restaurant offers affordable Chinese takeout, though the cleanliness leaves something to be desired and some patrons can seem a bit questionable. However, I can't resist the beef sticks—they're amazing! The sauce they use is delicious, and the fact that they deep fry them makes them even better. I usually grab an order of beef sticks with steamed rice. It's conveniently located next to Publix, so if my husband isn't interested in Chinese food, he can quickly pop in for a sandwich. While the service isn't particularly friendly, it is quick and efficient.

I'm usually not one for the fast food Chinese places but Hot Wok is some really good Chinese! It's definitely a takeout place even though they have some tables set up. Mostly because the people that are in there hanging out are usually a little shady looking. The prices are unbeatable too. I ordered beef sticks, steamed rice and an order of house fried rice and I think the total was around $8! That's a steal. They also have a limited delivery. But the best bet is to call it in and pick it up.

My husband and I ordered from here today, and we chose the Sweet and Sour Chicken along with Beef Lo Mein. I can't forget to mention the shrimp egg roll—it was delicious! Our order arrived in just 15-20 minutes (it felt like only 5). That's impressive! The food was hot and fantastic, just like always. This is why Hot Wok is our go-to Chinese restaurant! Great job once again!
