Firehouse Subs Hodges - Jacksonville

I had an Italian sub, and it was fantastic! The friendly staff served it to my table promptly. The sub itself was delicious, and the restaurant was spotless. I highly recommend this Firehouse location and will definitely return.

My favorite is the Firehouse Hero on wheat, featuring roast beef, smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham, and melted provolone. I always order it “fully involved,” meaning it comes with mayo, deli-style spicy mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and my absolute favorite—a dill pickle! There's a hint of sweetness from the honey ham that really complements the other flavors. I enjoyed my sub, which was still fresh even after a long day of work—over 15 hours passed before I finally got to eat it. The restaurant was clean, including the restrooms, the staff were friendly, my order was made correctly, and the service was quick. And if you can't find your pickle when you unwrap your sub, don't worry! Check under the paper lining in the box. I panicked thinking they had forgotten it, only to discover it later!

I absolutely love the vibe of this place and the warm atmosphere it offers. The shop is clean, the service is quick, and there are many friendly faces around!
