El Potro Mexican - Jacksonville

My go to for real Mexican food, it has been the same great place for at least 20 years.

This restaurant isn't too far from our house so we sometimes walk here for lunch or dinner. Its probably our second favorite place after La Nop. Its a mexican buffet so its nice when you aren't sure what you want. It gives you the option to try a few things out. I didn't use to like it but its gotten a lot better.

Very quiet Atmosphere, immediate greeting by Angel who was also our server. My daughter chose tacos I decided to try their buffet which was very very tasty. Angel in spite of his noticeable quiet spite provided great attentive service. There was a large variety to choose from. My favorites were the diced potatoes with onions, and the hot wings, the parmesan cheese rolls are so good they had to be replenished!!..For a crunchy sweet I couldn 't resist trying the 'Sopapillas '. And you should too...If you are looking to dine quietly with good taste why not STOP BY, you will be well pleased.

Love it here! Very clean, good service. Prices are reasonable. Buffett is awsome! Dont forget their yummy frozen Margarita! You will not be disappointed!!

I really like their food! The food was steaming hot delicious.
