Blue Crab - Jacksonville

This place has a hometown bar vibe we were sat quickly and the service was very polite, very friendly. The menu has a large selection to choose from: crab shrimp and fish pasta. a little something for everybody. It wasn't very busy when we were in, and it did take a little bit of time to get our food. We didn't mind because we weren't in a rush, but it might be something someone else might want to keep in mind if they're trying to grab a quick bite. We loved everything that we tried there. The only issue is that we felt the portion sizes were a little small. Overall and stuff when worth stopping in and giving it a try.

Recently moved to the area so I am trying new restaurants near my house and this one was def 10/10. The service was great, the prices were reasonable and they have daily drink specials that are actually specials and not just some overpriced drink they are trying to get you to buy AND the portions are huge too! There were also tons of options on the menu so you didn’t have to choose from only a half dozen items like most seafood places around here. We tried the crab stuffed mushrooms and hot crab dip for appetizers and Canadian snow crab legs and a crab and shrimp seafood pasta for the mains and of course everything was delicious. This is probably going to be one of my new favorite go-to restaurants and I highly recommend anyone in my area to check it out!

We've been waiting for months for them to open and were excited to finally get in. The only positive we experienced was the overall atmosphere which was very good. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. We got mussels as an appetizer and the quality and quantity was poorly done. The mussels were overcooked and basically tasteless .... there was no sauce with it like you get elsewhere! My wife got shrimp and grits, which were very basic, and I got the seafood pasta which I would NOT recommend. There were 4 shrimp and a sprinkle of crab placed on top of overdone pasta. Sorry to say this but they have to pick it up! Not sure I would return in the short term ....

Have not been in many years so I wanted some snow crabs so we went . Got a dozen oysters with bread crumbs absolutely no taste the oysters were amazing clean like they had been washed and used many times and the oysters were not the least bit attached to the shell seemed like they were those pre shucked oysters maybe I’m wrong! The red beans and rice had absolutely no seasoning just plain white rice and plain red beans my girlfriend Daughter and I took one taste and passed on the rest my snow crab was very soft so you could not break them apart like I usually do but we’re tasty My girlfriends crab cakes were outstanding! but overall was disappointing for $100

This was a great little gem we found just driving down the road. We saw the sign and decided to stop in and try the crab and we are glad we did. It reminds me of a little restaurant that would be placed in the Florida Keys. The crabs were cooked perfectly, and deliciously, seasoned and everything from the appetizers, drinks, seafood and desserts were priced very reasonably. The staff was super attentive and very friendly. I will be going back often.
