Rita's Italian Ice Frozen Custard

The staff was extremely nice, the flavor of the Italian ice and Custard is a great mix!! It is an outside sitting area, husband and I go here after visiting the beach!! You'll love it friends!!

Love it!!! Island fusion, mango, watermelon, green apple, lemon with fluffy vanilla custard for a refreshing gelati. Or chocolate with peanut butter sauce and Oreos if you’re feeling rich and decadent. My gosh it is so good. If you go in the day time, you’ll meet the owner who is a wonderful, kind, fun to talk to kinda guy. If you go at night, Yes he will probably have to wait in line. It’s an Italian ice place on the beach. Get over it and enjoy hanging out in the line and making new friends. The girls who work at night are absolutely lovely, and they work so hard. I have seen people be such horribly rude jerks to those girls, and they are more professional than 90% of the people I run into on a regular basis. The price, I think, is incredibly reasonable because the product is excellent. If you want cheaper dessert, you could go to the dollar store and buy a pack of weird lackluster ice cream bars made with fakey chocolate. Watch out, haters… these girls can take your BS with class and grace even though they should not have to. You’ll be charging their electric vehicles someday!! The life skills and the people skills they are learning at Rita’s is going to take them incredibly far. Anyways, Cheers to Rita’s Jax Beach! See ya soon. Love their Daily Specials Board! Came on a Wacky Wednesday so we got to try a cotton candy ice with vanilla custard and mango ice with vanilla custard. Great deal! They have some outdoor seating too.

The Italian ice is excellent! It 's tough to find good dairy free dessert options for my kids and me, but we didn 't feel like this was an 'alternate ' dessert choice. It 's legitimately fantastic flavor and quality. We tried the lemon, mango orange, chocolate, and Kandi. Mango orange was my favorite, but the lemon is reaaaaally impressive. We got there right at opening time and the very personable, friendly, and kind staff member (maybe the owner? said they would have to open late for repairs but if we just wanted ice it would be on the house. He didn 't have to do that we would have understood. We even tried to give him cash but he refused. I really hope we have time to get back there before we leave town, both to support the staff and to get as much of that ice as possible, 'cause you can 't find this quality in the stores!
