Pio Pio - Jackson Heights

I've been visiting this place since I was a child, and I can confidently say that you can't go wrong with any order. Everything is delicious! Also, the green sauce is fantastic—you'll want to drizzle it on your salad!

I don't usually say this about anything, but having been born and raised in Queens, I can confidently say that Pio Pio has the best sangria, ceviche, and rotisserie chicken around.

I've been ordering from this restaurant since my husband and I started dating 15 years ago. It’s one of my favorite Peruvian spots in Queens, especially since my husband is from Peru! The green picante is amazing—I'm obsessed! I put it on everything: rice, chicken, tostones, spaghetti, and more.

Food is OK, the rotisserie chicken has a ginger flavor that is unique! The Jalea Mixta (seafood mix platter) is not worth the price, must of the time is burnt. The Arroz Chaufa (rice mixed with vegetables/seafood/steak/ etc) with hard grains, also not worth the price. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE, THE CASHIER DOES NOT LIKE TO GIVE CHANGE BACK, the lady is rude.

We placed our order via Ubereat with assigned time. The order went smoothly and we received it on time. However, it was a little overpriced because of its portion. We had their Whole Juanita?s Chicken, Ensalada De Avocado and Mixto. The food tasted decent, especially the Mixto, it was flavorful cooked properly. What really disappointed us was the whole chicken. We added extra $4 to have all dark meat but it?s totally not worth $27 for these four thighs.
