La Pollera Colorada Ii

So I have been a huge fan of this place and recently went to try to celebrate my birthday there but learned that it’s turned into a lounge instead. Food is good but lost its niche. So sad to see such a good place only cater to party goers now. Miss the family environment it once had.

The vibes here are party and sports oriented. It 's dark in here. There are big television screens with soccer games playing when you walk in, and the walls are decorated in interesting art. I saw a neon sign in the back that was labeled Devil 's Playground if you like to Instagram cool signs? I walked in around 11 am, and I sat down waiting for my friend. There was a waitress working here who told me that it was okay to have a seat while I waited for her. I think they just opened, and I was the first one here. Then another couple walked in. I sense this restaurant is for younger folks. So back to my thoughts on the lunch here. I found my meal very flavorful. I had ordered a lunch special, bistec encebollado, which is essentially steak and onions. It comes with rice and beans which I felt were so good. Now, the menu is full of different dishes, bandeja tipica, sancocho, soup, steak, chicken, pork chops, pretty much everything at a Colombian restaurant. I found that they people who work here are friendly, but you may have to wait a while. When we asked for extra things like another drink and to-go box, our waitress was able to get them for us and was approachable. It 's just that they may not be waiting there for you...it 's super laid back. I know to place my order, I had to go find them and put it in at the bar, because I was hungry, but maybe that wouldn 't be the level of service you expect especially if you want table service. So bottom line is if you are in a rush, then this is not your spot. There is a lot to like. I would totally go back for the tastiness factor in the food alone. It was my close friend who swore by how awesome this place was, and now I also believe her taste in good food!

Such a beautiful place, good service and nice food. Excellent to dance and share with friends.

Bad experience. $59 dollars for breakfast. Eggs, rice, beans and steak suppose to be a cheap meal. I don’t care if they included the tip but dishes are expensive. If you want to pay with card they charge an extra 4% def. not coming back.
