Bidrage med feedbackIf for a moment, when you are visiting Istanbul, you feel like you want to go back to the crazy 1920s and feel like the travelers who arrived on the Orient-Express, do not hesitate to visit the beautiful Pera Palas. This is one of the hotels with the most history and has a couple of establishments where visitors can rest and have a drink. On the last day of our stay in Istanbul, we took a morning walk and decided to have coffee at the charming Patisserie de Pera, a French-style lounge with delicious cakes and sweets, very Parisian even though it is in Istanbul. It has been decorated by Anouska Hempel, a world-famous interior designer, and contrasts greatly with the orientalist and exuberant Salón Kubbeli, also at the Pera Palas. With a very appetizing counter where they serve you excellently, one feels for a moment transported to a time of elegance and delicacy. Everything here is measured and has a great sense of taste. The chocolates, cakes, macarons, and other sweets with clear French influence are handmade in the traditional way. We had a piece of cake with coffee while we read quietly in this corner of the era of decadence and splendor of the Belle-Epoque.
If you ever find yourself wanting to step back in time and feel like a traveler on the Orient-Express, don't hesitate to visit the beautiful Le Vers restaurant. Located in one of the most historic hotels, Le Vers offers a couple of establishments where visitors can relax and enjoy a French-style lounge with delicious cakes and sweets. Decorated by the renowned interior designer Anouska Hempel, the restaurant exudes elegance and charm. The handcrafted chocolates, cakes, macarons, and other French treats add to the overall sense of sophistication and indulgence. Enjoy a piece of cake and a coffee while immersing yourself in the timeless beauty of Le Vers.
