Mahatma Cafe - Istanbul

I have come here twice and both times I've tasted amazing flavours! I can recommend every single dish I've tried (had to try my friends' orders too). Personally, my favorite dish was the falafel balls. If you are looking for a homey warm-people environment this is the place to go. The guy that served us was very kind and friendly. When we were asking questions about the menu he sat down with us and talked to us like we were already friends. He also was welcomed by many of the neighbors that walked by. Specially by this little boy who approached him playfully with a hide-and-seek game. It was easy to tell this restaurant's staff has touched the hearts of those who see it everyday: the community around them. Cheers to a blessed future!

Amazing vegan cafe! We had delicious lentil soup, borec and a plate full of delicious Turkish dishes! Everything was divine! The staff is very nice and friendly, and the interior is full of vibrant colors! Absolutely loved this place!

I stumbled upon this cafe while staying nearby and had the pleasure of meeting Saïd and Arman. I enjoyed a delicious Turkish coffee and purchased some poppy seed butter as a gift. I loved the atmosphere of the cafe and the friendly nature of the owners.
