Temptations - Islington

Decent place, friendly staff, reasonable prices went in early December and had a nice grilled sandwich only £4.50 or so, coffee had a nice option for a single or double shot for a only a bit extra. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The smoothie and Earl Grey tea are excellent. The chocolate muffin is incredibly delicious. The service is friendly and efficient. The music adds to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. It's a little oasis in the midst of a busy and chaotic life.

Yesterday, I had a disappointing experience at a restaurant. While waiting for my coffee and plain croissant, the young barista asked another lady to pass me the croissant. Unfortunately, the lady gave me a chocolate croissant instead and blamed the barista for her mistake. I overheard their conversation and was shocked by the lack of professionalism. It takes courage to admit mistakes, and the barista showed great customer service despite the situation. I hope the manager addresses this issue. The barista, with her bright smile, made my day despite the mix-up. I didn't catch her name, but there were only two women working that day. The older lady seemed unfriendly, while the young foreign girl was polite and competent.

The perfect place to eat any meal! We went for breakfast and was met with a variety of choices. The place was clean and the food display was organized and appealing. The staff was welcoming and friendly!

Popped in here with my brother for a coffee with no expectations, the coffee was very good, but was blown away by the service from who I presume is the proprietor of the place. He was extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, even offering a complementary plate of delicious pastries (after first checking if we had any allergies). It’s service like this that is woefully lacking from the soulless coffee corporations that are taking over our high streets, and so I urge everyone to visit this unique and wonderful cafe and keep local independent businesses alive!
