Easy to grab a cup or delicious coffee or a sandwich during the day, not too crowded early on. Not sure how it is in the evenings, but it was a perfect early start to the day place. Maybe a little pricey.
Fun place for our family trip where everyone can get the kind of dishes they want and still sit together outside with our dog and have a good time. Every dish was solid. Taiyaki Japanese soft ice cream from Neko Neko was not included in the pics here because it was gone so quickly.
While staying nearby over three days I went in to the Sawmill Market to look around. I ended up eating there twice a day. There was such a variety of food and drink! The people were all polite and cheerful. But, the real standout was Alex, the manager of The Cafe. She was a bundle of positive energy constantly moving from taking orders, chatting with people, and checking on sales displays. She would be a tremendous management asset to any organization. She was a natural. We wish her the very best!
We live in Albuquerque and thought we’d finally check this place out. I like the concept and the ambiance seemed like it was a good place to meet with friends. The food that we ordered tasted good, but my issue was the price that we paid for everything. 3 small street tacos for $15, shrimp and grits with 5 shrimp for $16, and a small burger patty with 2 strips of bacon and cheese for $20 — yikes! I’m assuming that based on the location that this place is catering to tourists who have money to spend, but I’m not keen on spending over $50 on meals that didn’t even fill us. I know this place has raving reviews from others…to each their own.
