The Sundial Cafe - Isle of Wight

This is not the type of restaurant we would typically choose, but it certainly lives up to its reputation! My younger granddaughter was given the opportunity to explore a few different restaurants and their menus, and she ultimately chose this one, which turned out to be a great decision. They serve delicious fast food, toasties, ice cream, and of course, cold draft beer. It may not be fancy, but that's not necessary for a family day at the beach. We would definitely come back again.

I have visited this restaurant a couple of times while in Sandown, and it can get quite crowded. However, the service is always friendly, and the toasted sandwiches are absolutely delicious.

For lunch snack .just ordered chips with dips and tees. it came in a bag served at the table. what we were happy about. massive portions. beautiful chips . and great location on the beach . personal helpful and friendly

A good caffe next to the beach with magnificent views. perfect to sit with a drink / nibbles / ice cream and people watching. reasonable price and they can take out if they want to sit on the beach with family.

Many years ago I had the most delicious crab baguette from The Sundial. Being back in sandown I just had to see if they still sold them. Sadly it was too late in the day so they only had chips on offer but I have...to say these were the best chips I have ever tasted. The portion was huge. This place will be a definite next time we return. Highly recommend.
