The Temple Cafe - ISLE OF HARRIS

Temple used to be the go-to spot for vegan food in Harris, but unfortunately, they seem to have scaled back their fresh food options for vegans. During my last visit, there was nothing fresh available to eat except for animal products. The coffee and vegan milks are still great, but I left feeling hungry. It's a real disappointment.

The vegan raspberry flapjack was absolutely delightful. They also have a great selection of savory jars and crackers available for purchase. The welcoming owners will provide you with a plate and utensils so you can create a picnic from the items on the shelves. The oat cappuccino was lovely as well!

To be honest, my experience was quite disappointing. I only went in for two coffees and some cakes, but the whole process took fifteen minutes because the woman at the counter struggled with the card reader. The coffee was good, but the food definitely wasn’t worth the wait.
