The Four Crosses - Isle of Anglesey

We had previously enjoyed our visits to this restaurant as a party of 4, but unfortunately, our most recent experience was disappointing. We had made a reservation for a busy Friday evening, but when we arrived, nobody showed us to our table. We eventually found a table with a reserved sign bearing my name. The waitstaff seemed inexperienced, and we encountered issues with our drink orders - one pint of beer was warm and another was flat. The food quality was good, but one dish was forgotten by the waitstaff, causing delays. When I asked a waiter to relay an order to the kitchen, she rolled her eyes and made me feel unwelcome. Overall, we were disappointed with the service and will not be returning to this restaurant.

Choose on Sunday with the family order the frying dinner. would not recommend £13 for 1 adult and the part was small, quality medium with dry vegetables, small selection and non-existent heavy. other people eating looked nice, but they didn't order Sunday's. mine.

Very disappointing , this place has really gone down hill with its service and staff. It used to be our favourite. Obviously had a change in management Staff should learn to smile more and know what is available on the menu. You order only to...be told either no longer on menu, even though it states, then to be told only one available, hence you choose again. Then have over half hour wait even though pub half empty. To top it all the food is served cold, or not cooked correctly most times over cooked. Friend had scrag ends for chips. A complaint was served but the manager never showed. Upon settlement of the bill, was short changed and when asked was the manager told of our complaint was told yes but not bothered or took action. No refund was offered or an apology. Hence will NEVER go here again

Stayed here last night in our Motorhome using the car park free of charge, used the restaurant in the evening for our evening meal and drinks. We were greeted by the landlord and one of the waitresses who gave us a choice of tables that...were available, the chef also came out and had a chat. Our drinks were served straight away and we were given our menus which also included specials. There is a good selection of food available, we both chose chicken main meals, one Italian one Cajun, both came in a reasonable amount of time, probably about 15 mins. The food was well presented, hot and well cooked. Another round of drinks were ordered and arrived quickly. After the main course we ordered desserts, there was also a separate specials board for desserts so plenty of choice. Again these were served quickly we finished off with a nightcap. All in all a very nice relaxed evening with pleasant chatty staff a good host. We’re here for another night so hopefully tonight will be just as good.

During our holiday in Anglesey, we passed by this charming pub numerous times. On our way back home, we decided to stop for a meal and we are so glad we did. We ordered two meals and a cheesecake for dessert. The service and atmosphere were excellent. We would definitely return, 100% recommended.
