Bidrage med feedbackWe stumbled into this place completely by random one day when we were visiting Isla. We had one of those 'off, no plan ' days where the rest of our group wanted to just relax at the beach and skip breakfast, so we slept in a little and then went exploring. We were walking down the road past all the shops, when we heard a Whoooosh.... Downpour, out of Nowhere!! So we ran for the first place we could find that had seats and was inside and that turned out to be Angeliartcaffe! Alexander was happy to seat us himself and ask us about how hungry we were. We tried new things (Hibiscus juice! and told him that since it was 11:30 and we hadn 't eaten breakfast, we were pretty darn hungry! He made us each a mounded plate of some of the best pasta and mushrooms in cream sauce it was enough that we both had enough for a full lunch the next day left over! The prices are very affordable for what you receive and Alex is wonderful to talk to. He genuinely cares about his patrons :
Amazing Italian food. We had the pizza and different pasta's. It was authentic Italian with homemade noodles and sauces. Lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
We were staying at an Airbnb across the street and wanted to check this place out for a pre-dinner appetizer, which turned into a sprawling meal. The owner is fantastic and very welcoming. And the food... my very picky Italian boyfriend says this is the best Italian food he's had outside of Italy, and we're planning our next trip back to Isla Mujeres just so we can taste it again!
We decided to go for pizza after a good month with Mexican food, We walked by this place and decided to try the pizza The owner wasn't so welcoming because we interrupted him while he was sitting on his phone, we order a vegetarian pizza and the pepperoni it was a bit dry for my taste but you can't expect more for a 85 pesos pizzas.
An amazing dining experience, wonderful, fresh, handmade pasta in an intimate setting. We started with a complimentary thin crust pizza appetizer, then had soft, pillowy gnocchi and melt in your mouth lasagne and finished with a delicious tiramisu. The owner/chef/waiter made the night even more special. We could see his passion for making fabulous, authentic cuisine as he explained the steps in creating the lasagne in a three hour process. Although the menu has quite a variety of pastas and pizzas, the chef is happy to prepare special requests for more time consuming dishes with a day's notice tortellini, meatballs, ravioli, lasagne. We were fortunate to be dining on the day he made lasagne. It's well worth requesting ahead of time. Liquor is not served so we brought our own wine, which added to the experience because we were in no hurry to leave so we lingered awhile over our drinks. Prices are more than reasonable. This is a one of a king gem in Isla Mujeres. Highly recommended!
