Irymple Hotel

I had previously given this pub a great review. However, after returning for lunch twice recently, I was disappointed both times. The steak sandwich was so tough I couldn't eat it, and the fish and chips I ordered without chips ended up being just a slab of hake and a tiny bowl of salad for $20. The coating on the fish was too salty and peppery, with chunks of rock salt all over it. I have to go back tonight for a function and I'm not sure what to order.

We are local residents and continue to return to this restaurant for more. Typically, we enjoy dining outdoors for lunch under the vine-covered patio, weather permitting. We recently held a milestone birthday celebration here. They offer a good selection of wines by the glass and draft beers. The food consists of tasty, high-quality pub fare with daily specials available, although it would be nice to see some changes to the menu. Despite not being a vegetarian, I decided to try something new and was delighted by their lentil salad. It was a perfectly refreshing blend of textures and flavors. The service is always excellent. Reservations are highly recommended on weekends and during holidays due to its popularity among locals and visitors.

This restaurant is open 7 days a week for meals. The large outdoor dining area, covered by grape vines, gives it a European feel. The staff are all excellent and the food is served quickly, well-prepared and tasty. The kids enjoyed their meals as well. It is worth the drive out of Mildura to dine here, we enjoyed it so much that we ate here two nights in a row.

Monday night dinner for 2, the dining room looks really nice, might have had a recent reno. Bruschetta for entree, 4 large pieces, was delicious. We both had the slow cooked lamb for main, great taste, large size, could have had a few different veggies not just potatoes and zucchini. Staff were friendly and warm. Definitely would return.

HORRIBLE experience. I paid over 60 dollars to pretty much be forced to eat something that made me feel unwell and tasted and looked nothing like it was described on the menu. When I explained my experience to the manager, he told me that I have no choice other than to order another meal for another 30 dollars or stay hungry or eat what I was given. We drove half an hour to eat there, and I was either made to remain hungry or pay another fortune for another meal. I was literally left in tears, and it ruined my experience with my friends. The meal was nothing like it was described on the menu, and when I told them this, they said that I was supposed to know what all the 'fancy ' names on the menu mean (despite no waiter coming to your table and actually explaining what any of the descriptions mean, and no customer service, other than to just go and order ourselves). I also ordered an orange juice that tasted really bad. Later on that evening, we all felt unwell after our meals. My partner 's meal was also very salty, and a tiny portion. We were all left hungry and disappointed, and had to find another cafe afterwards to eat properly. For such a high price, we were left hungry and upset and had a disappointing day. Overall, I 'm very DISAPPOINTED, regret coming here, and would NOT be coming back, or recommending the place to ANYONE.
