Catfish House - Irving

This was my daughter's and my first visit to this restaurant, and we were eager to give it a try. Upon entering, we found the place nice and clean, with soft music playing in the background. I ordered the two Catfish Fillet Combo Basket, while my daughter opted for the three Catfish combo basket. The food came out quickly and was hot to the touch. The catfish had a great flavor, though we found it to be a bit heavily seasoned for our tastes.

The Hispanic man at the register was quite rude and appeared to dislike his job. I tried to brush off his attitude, hoping the food would compare to the Carrollton location. Unfortunately, my fish was pink and undercooked. I decided not to complain, as I feared it would just lead to more rudeness!

For $30 to $40, you can enjoy a meal for two at this restaurant. The fried fish and shrimp basket combos are a real highlight—absolutely delicious and served piping hot, which is a definite plus! Each combo comes with a side of fries and hush puppies. The fountain drinks are also excellent. I've found their gumbo to be quite tasty as well. Having lived in Irving almost my entire life, I can confidently say their food has always been fantastic. If you're in Irving, you don't need to travel far for mouthwatering seafood, great music, and amazing desserts. Currently, I'm loving the carrot cake and banana wafer pudding, but I’m eager to try more of their dessert offerings.

I have come to this restaurant for years , everything is alway delicious. I have known and enjoyed Mario?s good conversation and amazing customer service. My favorite is the whole catfish!!! But as mentioned before, you will be please with the shrimp (big),mixed vegetables, okra, etc. Good people and food is a combination for a great meal!!!

This is a very nice place to dine. The food is good and the staff is very nice. Even though they are called the catfish house. They sell more than one type of fish. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. My only problem is with parking. This is abusy place and depending on when you go. There might now be a place to park. The lot is very small
