You may also know it by its variations such as "Shawarma" in Arabic or "Gyros" in Greek; they share the same concept but feature different meats and spices unique to their cuisines. All the meats served are Halal – Zabihah. Yalcin's family has been running Döner G in Turkey for over 25 years, and he decided to bring this concept to Orange County. The first location opened in 2008 in Anaheim, CA, and Yalcin recognized the opportunity to introduce this delicious cuisine to the adventurous crowd in Irvine, CA, opening a second location in November 2013.
