Bidrage med feedbackYalcin Aslan moved from Turkey to California to pursue his Master's degree. After achieving this goal, he decided to make California his permanent home. However, he found himself longing for a taste of his beloved comfort food, döner kebab, which means "turning" or "rotating roasting." In Turkey, döner kebab stands are ubiquitous and are considered a staple of Turkish fast food. You might also be familiar with variations like "Shawarma" in Arabic and "Gyros" in Greek; they share a similar concept but feature different meats and spices unique to their respective cultures. All the meats used are Halal - Zabihah certified. Yalcin's family has been running Döner G in Turkey for over 25 years, and he decided to bring this vibrant culinary tradition to Orange County. He opened his first location in Anaheim, CA, in 2008, and saw an opportunity to introduce this delicious cuisine to the adventurous crowd in Irvine, CA, opening a second location in November 2013. If you visit the Crossroads shopping center, you won't be able to miss the enticing aroma wafting through the air. While it may remind you of Greek cuisine, there's something distinct about it. The mouthwatering scent of "meat roasting over fire" is sure to awaken your appetite and indulge your primal cravings.
