Pine Point Lodge - Iron River

We had an amazing three-day family vacation! Jack was an excellent host! The kids had a fantastic time on the pontoon, enjoying the campfire, swimming in the lake, paddle boating, and snacking on appetizers from the on-site restaurant. We mostly cooked our meals on the grill on the deck or enjoyed sandwiches by the water. I do wish the drive was a bit shorter for us, as we would love to come back multiple times a year. The lake was serene, and everyone was very friendly. The fishing was also great. For those traveling from out of town, there's a small grocery store about a 10-minute drive away, so be sure to plan ahead. It was a much-needed escape from the everyday hustle and bustle!

You won't find more delicious smoked ribs anywhere else. Jack is a fantastic host, and he's made significant improvements to this place. They offer a great selection of beers, with much more than just standard bar food. The trivia night on Tuesdays is both challenging and fun, so be sure to check out the trivia buffet as well!

The dog wouldn’t even touch the food he stole from the table. The cheese curds were overcooked, leaving only hollow fried breading with no cheese inside. The fried fish was so greasy it was inedible. The wood-fired pizza was burnt to a black crisp, and when we mentioned it, the waitress just said it must have been too hot. The ranch dressing was excessively salty, almost undrinkable. On a positive note, the ribs were decent.
