Good food, great place. we were here a few times when we visit ipswich and it is never missed, good food and good value for money. a beer and something to eat is a good opportunity, while away shopping a few hours after (or during). the staff is very friendly and attentive, the place is beautiful and clean and the eating is delicious and hot. can't really owe it. try some of the in house rolls they were beautiful.

This restaurant features a regularly rotating selection of guest cask and craft ales, and patrons can even suggest their own favorites in a dedicated book at the bar. They also offer their own brewed beers, along with German lagers and Belgian beer bottles. The house-smoked and marinated meats are exceptional. Overall, it's a fantastic spot that I will definitely be returning to often.

Excellent dining experience! This restaurant is a fantastic example of how to smoke meat to perfection without overwhelming it with spices and heat. Even the fries were prepared flawlessly. I can’t wait for my next visit. Highly recommended!

We went here for a friends leaving do. I kept to cider but there are a lot of draft beers on tap., they claim 22 beers i think. As I was drinking it made sense to also grab some food. The TWM pulled pork burger £10) was fantastic!!! I would give 5 stars just for that, but the matching fries and very quick service would make me give the pub 6 stars if possible. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks and menu which made ordering very quick and easy. I will be coming here again.

The dinner enjoyed us here. booked online easy secured payment of £5pp. table was ready when we arrived 15 minutes early (was a quiet Monday though) our server michael was friendly and talked to us about our food choices like our first time. eating came out quite quickly was very tasty. I had the pulled gay bbq burger and was very nice. my partner had fixed the combo meat where they can choose either 2,3 or 4 net and x number of sides for each. he chose the pulled pork chorizo. good price and great part. our meal came to £37 for two net 2 softdrinks. michael talked to us about their events and room rental, we didn't feel any hurry at all and is a nice cozy relaxed environment. ideal location, just a few minutes walk from the parking space, just to take into account if they have mobility problems, the restaurant part is on 2 flights of stairs, not sure whether they have a lift, but have not seen. they have a gin bar in the cellar a bar lounge on ground floor. everything was clean and tidy, will return again and also to their quiz night!
