Cinnamon Indian Takeaway - Ipswich

Used to be the best take away in Ipswich but need to smarten up their act as it has gone downhill with sloppy service. Recently they tend to be late with the orders. Will continue to use BUT all round improvement required or else no more..

Right the owner wanted me to give a good review as requested, however the hygein certificate is hidden by a leaflet which I didn 't like, was told upon arrival food wasn 't the correct time as per just eat. However he did deal with this well and I didn 't wait long. The food was ok, rice was nothing special, tikka masala was different and actually not bad, however it wasn 't traditional tasting. More like a fruity sweet curry sauce. To top it off my mango chutney was forgotten. Given everything and the fact the cook operated the till and money whilst clearly having food on his hands. I will stick with my usual eastern spice.

Food arrived 45 minutes early initially, when we complained (as we couldn’t eat it, at that moment we were putting 3 young children to bed, thus why we ordered for a specific time! they were unapologetic and rude. When the food was finally redelivered it was inedible. The chips were cold and soggy and I’ve had cups of tea thicker than the tasteless, watery dansak sauce. There wasn’t even a single lentil in it. When we called to reluctantly complain (we have been regular customers we were told we complain too much and that it will probably be better next time. We were talked over, didn’t receive one apology and basically hung up on. An absolutely disgraceful way to treat a regular customer. Will never ever use again and honestly if you want decent service or decent food I would avoid like the plague! I look forward to seeing the angry rude reply from the restaurant that I’m sure they’ll leave at some point!

Used to be amazing but has just changed ownership, menu and chef. Now called something else though not fully resigned yet. AWFUL food. More expensive and less range. Really disappointing given how good Cinnamon was. Do not recommend.

I order from them most of the weekends and eating is very tasty and cheap. I would highly recommend it.
