Cafe Marina - Ipswich

There are many choices for breakfast. Great portion and very accommodating when I asked the sausages to be cut up due to my son wearing a cast. Would like the tea to be served in a mug instead of a small cup would be lovely. One little comments is that I understand staff are very young but they need to smile and be happy

Disappointed to say the least overpriced for pathetically small portions. I’m confused as to why there are 4 breakfasts to choose from I wanted the bubble and squeak but didn’t get mushrooms or tomatoes why can’t just 1 standard breakfast be offered small and large ?? Bubble and squeak if you can call it that is a teaspoon of dolloped potato wasn’t crispy like it should be ! No offer of sautéed potatoes fried slice and it’s half a round of toast 2 small squares we all left still feeling hungry £50 poorer none of us will return

Enjoyed a great breakfast today at Cafe Marina. Tasty sausages, plum tomatoes, bacon and black pudding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cafe for its great food and friendly welcoming staff. Well done.

I’ve just been today, I ordered set breakfast 4 which included bubble and squeak , when it came out, it was a little bigger than an egg yolk! pitiful portion size . I called over the server and told him that this was a very small portion and two of these would barely make one decent portion . They came back with another portion and put it on the plate, I ate all , and the food was nice it must be said . However .. could not believe that when I went to pay, they had the cheek to charge me for an extra portion.. £1.70 . I told the manager that I should not be being charged for the second meagre portion as the two amounted to one reasonable portion . The manager just kept saying that was “ the size they are mate” not even enough for a child . Did not like his attitude one bit , very abrupt and rude . He offered in the end to charge me £1 for the extra portion this was insulting . I paid the bill for full amount, but will not be returning. So much for the customer is king … not in this establishment. There are plenty of cafes in Ipswich that treat customers with respect and decent portion size-so I will be going to them in future

Friendly proper family cafe hidden behind the scaffolding at present but its worth checking out if you are near the waterfront
